Lucky Leapers

We love the name Lucky Leapers! Will you tell us a little about yourself?

Sure! We are the Lucky Leapers Splash Company (LLSC). Our team is comprised of myself, my 5.5 yr old lab, Teagan, and joining us for her debut next weekend, my grand pup Timber (a beagle/border collie mix).

Our story started 4 years ago when Teagan, my very ADHD adolescent lab who loved to swim, needed a job. We fell into dock diving and the LLSC was born. She was named the 2016 Rookie of the Year. She has been to the World Championships every year for multiple disciplines, going on our 5th consecutive year!

That’s impressive! What disciplines do you compete in?

In dock diving she competes in Big Air (long jump), Speed Retrieve (doggie drag race), Extreme Vertical (high jump), and Iron Dog (combined score).

We hear you have also taken up a new sport together. Will you tell us about it?

When COVID-19 stopped our dock diving season, we needed to find another outlet for her energy. So, we hit the pavement...literally, and took up jogging. One thing led to another, which lead to a virtual 5K, then a 10K, and now half marathon distances!  This girl gives me her all in anything I ask for.

With all the running, and the need to feel connected with our friends, the #5K9ers were born. As a group, we have been registering for the same races, and doing them #togetherbutseparate. Our little group started out with 4 teams, and now we have close to 30, all running virtually together.

We love hearing about the relationships our customers have with their pets! What plans do you have for the future?

Teagan and I are registered for the 2021 Canine Biathlon, and are really looking forward to all the new adventures as we continue training for that!

Anything else you would like to share?

Our BFFs, Michelle and Sasha from Team Dash and Splash, turned us on to your bone broth and it’s now a staple on the packing list for all our adventures!
