I have a senior feline that has been healthy all her life but is now dealing with old age issues. She has had wet food all of her life and normally a good eater. My dog is getting into his senior years and it seemed time to start adding more moisture to his kibble — an extremely high quality kibble that only has meat protein, animal fat, pumpkin, quinoa and vitamins — because my last dog started having trouble digesting her kibble around 11 or 12, and I noticed my current dog starting to drink more water of late. Sure, I could just add water to the kibble, but why not instead use nutritious bone broth for its many beneficial effects? AND, of all the bone broths out there, why not use the brand with the least amount of added ingredients (esp. no added salt!) but of the ingredients that ARE added — high grade collagen and turmeric — they're ones that really pack a punch. Needless to say, my dog loves the broth, and so the main objective of adding moisture to the kibble, solved. The other benefits of using bone broth — well, he already gets a minimal amount of turmeric in a tablet and he gets a daily joint formula chew, both providing good results, so I think the bone broth is going to
simply heighten those benefits.
So, a happy purchase.
I must add here: although the Beef broth has worked great, I did also try the Chicken and the Duck broths — and both caused my dog to have very intense gaseous emissions (silent but very deadly! lol) and some soft stool. The Beef doesn't appear to cause those problems after having gone through two pouches of it. Go figure why the poultry has that effect but the beef doesn't — he otherwise has no problem eating chicken meat itself. The two poultry flavors may work great for your dog, but we're just gonna stick with the Beef.
